     I wrote this song in 1995. It's about being guilty as charged (as far as sin) and the way I felt about breaking God's laws and the freedom I felt from asking Jesus for forgiveness. This particular recording is the last one I did that sounded better than the others I had recorded so it's what I'm placing to view until I get a more pro sounding recording of the acoustic version. I have recorded it several ways but when its played live with an acoustic, it's the best imo. I hope you enjoy it and thank you for listening/reading.

Temptations

 

I'm the guilty one, I tripped and fell along the way.

I am a fortunate one, You picked me up outta my decay.

I don't know why, It's Grace.

I broke the rules You made, A million times I died, I died.

I beg for Your mercy sake, and You showed me the Truth and Life.

The darkness whimpered and it cried.

The darkness ran from the Light.

 

Temptations attack from every side, I fight them off behold the Light,

Hold in my heart The Power and Might, The Spirit of Truth it makes the dismal die.

 

I wrecked the plans you made,

took another path I strayed,

Into the line of fire I played, (but I) had to lay down in the bed I made (I was)

Chained to the bonds of my device. 

You broke me free from all the lies.

Come and save my soul, I need a hand to hold, 

Do what You will I need your light.

Jesus Christ, the same yesterday, today and forever!

It appears from reading God's word that we are all born with our names written in the Lambs Book of Life. It this were not so it would seem that we could not be blotted out. Since it states that whoever's name is not blotted out from the Lambs Book of Life will have everlasting life, then there had to have been something there to be blotted out in the first place.

Yes, We want YOUR SOUL!

 

               Hell is REAL

The Book of Life - is your name written in it? I hope so!

Revelation: 3:5 - He that overcomes, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.

Your Time is your life and your life is your time.

God expects us to use our talents, gifts abilities and skills for His will and His purposes. Not to waste them.

Why do you think that He gave them to us? Why are some people interested in some things while others could care less? We are all different and have different passions, but we should all have passions and it is unfair to ourselves to deny our God given rights to these things that make us who we are inside. I don't mean passions that are fleshly or desires that are ungodly, far from that. But rather, what ever you are good at naturally is probably what you should be doing in life. Doesn't that make sense? Why do something that you hate to do when you could probably be the most useful in the field that God gave you an expertise in? Sure occasionally we all have to do things that we don't particularly like to do to accomplish certain goals (and I'm not talking about ethics or morals here), but working and doing the chore portion of what you do can be as rewarding as what you love to do when you see the final results or see a project coming along as planned.

     Think of it this way. What if you were told that you only had a few weeks, months or one year left to live? What would you do differently than you are doing now? Because in reality, we have been given a death sentence from the day we were born. We have been dying all along with only a certain amount of time to fulfill God's purpose in our lives.

Hebrews 9:27: For it is appointed unto men once to die, after that the judgment.

Jesus suffered the most horrible death for you and died, then rose from the dead!

Jesus said, "I am the Truth, The Life and The Way, No man comes to The Father but by me".
